The King

Thank you for your registration.

Sorry, we regret to inform you that your registration to attend the Public Memorial Service for Michael Jackson was not selected.

Hundreds of thousands registered, but only a few can be in attendance.

THANK YOU
I would have gone. I know I have a summer class I need to pass and very little money in the bank, but Michael Jackson was such a huge part of my childhood and teenage years. It will be a long time before I stop getting chills whenever I hear his music. I miss him.

I is married now!

Nick asked me to be his domestic partner yesterday. He got on one knee and everything (well, everything except a ring) - but no matter. Material things mean nothing to me (muahahahaha).

I'm so happy - particularly because in the lovely city of Minneapolis, we can register our domestic bliss as being official. All that is required is a check for $20 and a promise that we do not have multiple partners (sorry swingers).

While I am happy to have found someone I want to spend the rest of my life with, I hope that one day we'll have the same rights as heterosexuals and not have to rely on the liberal graciousness of a city ordinance for us to show our love and commitment.

Past Cinema Regression

Check out Nicholas Bell's review of the 2007 American horror film Cthulhu. It's loosely based on an H.P. Lovecraft short story and features a gay protagonist - yay!

Goodbye

First off, I don't work with these bitches. I was going to post a picture of the pharmacy I do work in, but it's a dump. Also, when I searched for "inpatient pharmacy" images on Google, the image above was one of the top results. I just think it's funny.

Anyhow, I'm kind of feeling sad. Tonight is my last night working as a Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician (thank you very much). I don't think I'm sad because I'll miss the job or the people. God knows I can't stand making Mini-Plus bags or arguing with assholes who don't want to pay their $2 co-pays. Instead, I think I'm feeling emotional because leaving this job means I'll be starting another big chapter in my life.

In about a month, I'll be starting medical school in Miami.

More to come...

The Britney Spears Diet

I had a short-lived addiction to Giant Cheetos that died when I got a whiff of the nutrional facts per serving: calories (150), sodium (250mg), fat (10g), and carbohydrates (17g).

Now, I know that the other varieties of Cheetos aren't considered Smart Choices. However, considering the Giant Cheetos are so much easier to consume in mass quantities, I simply had to walk away.
